3D TV is here!
Remember the red-cyan glasses which made it possible for you to see simple pictures in a 3D effect? Well, with advanced and cheaper technology now there are more possibilities. Instead of the red-cyan glasses, there are Polarized 3D glasses and LCD shutter glasses which facilitate full color movies in 3D. The Blu-ray Disc Association has defined a standard to write 3D content on a Blu-ray Disc. They chose to use MPEG4 MVC (Multiview-Video-Coding-Format) for encoding. NVidia has created a pci video card which allows 3D display. |
