Automated Export Service now available
Arbor Media’s new product - Automated Export Service (AES) - is a new LogDepot module which provides you with an automated export at any desired moment, based on criteria you define once. The AES allows you to automate your exports based on date/time events and/or on metadata. So, if you are a TV station and you want to provide your sports editors with a daily update, AES is able to export the chosen file automatically if the program name contains the word ‘sport’. Or maybe you are a conference organizer and you want to export every speaker in a different file or burn them on cd/dvd, AES will support you with an automatic export, every time the speaker name changes. What if you want to archive all broadcast traffic information? AES is able to select this on metadata (‘Traffic Announcement active’) and automatically export the files to every possible location – a website, mp3 or to any other available storage medium. |

Automatically AES can be used as an add-on to the LogDepot product together with the LogDepot Export Service and LogDepot Metadata products. These products together with AES make it possible to schedule exports based on time and/or metadata (Data from RDS or PDC). These exports will then be performed automatically when the media is available. It is also possible to use AES without LogDepot Metadata, it will then only support exports based on time. Export Rules AES is built on the concept of export rules. Export rules define when, what and how long to perform an export. An export rule has a few properties that can be configured, such as start and end date/time or export triggers that will define from when to start an export and when it should end. But – most important of all - you can filter an export on metadata.A filter can consist of a simple string or it can contain wildcards (* or ?) to filter on parts of the metadata value. This allows you to export any part of your content where Program Name matches “*sport*” or matches “*news*”. The AES is written as a web-based service using Microsoft’s brand new ‘Silverlight' technology. It is an extremely powerful extension to your LogDepot installation. | |||||||
