LogDepot Conference and Debates Recording System

Dutch National Parliament uses Arbor Media’s DRS system to record all public meetings (1 video channel and 1 audio channel) as held in the plenary hall. When meetings are finished, they are published to the internet for public usage. Meetings will be stored for the duration of 3 years, which needs approximately 1TB of storage capacity.

LogDepot Conference and wireless streaming pilot

The Dutch National Parliament uses a wired network throughout the complete estate to be able to listen to debates held in all commission rooms. As a possible replacement, Tweede Kamer investigates wireless solutions. Arbor Media’s LogDepot system records the plenary hall (audio and video), several commission rooms and several radio channels (1 video channel and 30 audio channels), and streams the live-feed over a wireless network. These streams can be picked up using a laptop, smartphone (HTC, iPhone) and other specific consumer devices such as the Archos 5/7.

2010

Streaming Dutch Parliament

The Dutch Parliament has decided to start a pilot project together with Arbor Media for an upgrade of its systems to listen and watch debates via live stream. At present the representatives and their staff, working at their offices and not being able to be present at the debate, listen to the debates via a network cable.
