The progressive download of audio material in the LogDepot webclient is going very slowly, on some workstations.

This is a known problem with some computers which have or have had Windows Media Player 9 or the Windows Media Player 9 Codec Pack installed. The problem only occurs with some WMP9 installations, we have not been able to track the reason for this problem, but it seems to be a clear bug in WMP9. The solution is to completely remove Windows Media Player 9 and all Windows Media 9 DLL's and then re-install Windows Media Player 7 (Windows 95/98/Me/2000) or 8 (Windows XP only). There is no uninstall program to do this, so we have made a batchfile which does the removal of the Windows Media 9 DLL's. Follow the following steps to uninstall Windows Media 9. - Use Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs to uninstall Windows Media Player 9. - Download Remove_FormatSDK9.bat here http://www.arbor.nl/products/Remove_FormatSDK9.bat. - Run Remove_FormatSDK9.bat. After this is done, all Windows Media 9 DLLs are removed. - Reboot your computer. - Re-install Windows Media Player 7 or 8. After you have done this, the problem should be solved.
