LogDepot at the European Court of Justice
Recording, archiving, live streaming and Video on Demand publishing.
The European Court of Justice is the highest court in the European Union in matters of European Union law. As a part of the Court of Justice of the European Union it is tasked with interpreting EU law and ensuring its equal application across all EU member states. The Court was established in 1952 and is based in Luxembourg.
Since 2009, the European Court of Justice deployed a LogDepot Enterprise Conference solution and is using ConnectedViews Conference Cloud services for recording, archiving, live streaming and Video on Demand publishing of Court of Justice jurisdictions and public events. This project included a specific web based metadata indexing workflow tool, handling all Court session. Arbor Media integrated a specific LDAP – Active directory user management solution to dynamically handle the user access to the published content. Since last summer, Court of Justice is migrating to a full DANTE conference backbone. This migration process involves the upgrade procedure of all LogDepot audio and video encoding servers of the LogDepot Enterprise Conference architecture. To interface to the DANTE conference network, the LogDepot encoders will be equipped with Yamaha AIC128 interface cards allowing the acquisition of the audio channels from the Court of Justice court rooms. The Dante interface card is specially designed and built for use in Dante networks NIC with two Ethernet ports, supporting 128 channels directly available for recording on one LogDepot encoder. Deploying DANTE infrastructure makes LogDepot Enterprise Conference architectures more efficient and cost effective.
